February 4, 2011 Board of Directors Meeting

The MACCS Website:  The Board of Directors approved a proposal by Norton| Norris, Inc. to re-design the website. Norton| Norris, Inc. indicated that they would be ready to launch the new site in 30 days.

Advocacy Day:  The Board discussed with Steve Scofes of Scofes & Associates to hold an Advocacy Day in April at which MACCS members would lunch with their legislative representatives in Lansing.  Steve agreed to have his firm do the majority of the work in putting it together.  He suggested that 1 or 2 representatives from each school attend, perhaps a mixture of people from each school, and that a white paper be prepared setting out who MACCS is and what its issues are.  Steve agreed to get back to MACCS with some proposed dates and a draft itinerary.

April In-Service - Our spring in-service is scheduled for April 8, 2011 at the Schoolcraft College VistaTech Center.  The administrative portion of this meeting will feature focus groups to discuss the industry with representatives from DELEG.
