The mission of the institution is to provide a range of quality education which prepares students for meaningful and profitable employment.
We offer knowledge and skills that can be put to immediate use in a variety of disciplines including paralegal, criminal justice, court reporting, medical office assisting, certified network professional, and many more.
We focus our efforts to provide educational programs designed to offer students marketable skills, and obtain career advancement or competence in a new skill.

Externships
One of the strongest and most important elements The Academy programs offer is its extension of the classroom to the actual marketplace through its externship programs. This opportunity allows the students to gain real experience in the actual courtroom, law office, hospital, or business in which they will eventually work.  It is on-the-job training and on-the job interviewing at the same time!

Career Placement Assistance
The Academy works directly with business professionals to assist in each student's access to the marketplace. Although The Academy cannot guarantee employment, it is the goal of The Academy staff to help students realize their personal potential. The Academy of Court Reporting is currently at an 80% overall placement rate as measured by ACICS, our national accrediting body.

Financial Aid
The Academy of Court Reporting accepts Title IV funding. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Financial Aid Planners are available to assist students with the FAFSA, TAA, TRA, Michigan Works! and other financial applications.

Accreditation
The Academy of Court Reporting is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools www.acics.org, in addition to specific programmatic accreditation such as NCRA.
